Bags determine how much you can collect before selling. They do not make each dig stronger; they let a good dig continue longer.

The capacity check

Run your intended path once. If you turn back with easy cake still ahead, capacity is the bottleneck. If you turn back because clearing took too long, improve the spoon first.

Deeper-run value

Capacity becomes more valuable when a route takes longer to reach. Extra storage protects the time spent traveling into deeper areas.
